Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
A spot in the Taca de Portugal quarter-finals will be at stake when Santa Clara and Nacional square off against each other at Estadio de Sao Miguel on Thursday evening. Santa Clara aim to recover from the Liga Portugal 2 loss to Mafra and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Black and Whites. Midfielder Ricardinho is widely expected to return to the starting XI after coming as a substitute in Saturday’s defeat.
Nacional, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Tondela. As Santa Clara are tough to beat at home, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on draw. In their last meeting in the Portuguese top flight the two sides played out a 1-1 draw and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Ponte Delgada.
