Our prediction for this Championship match:
Sunderland will be aiming to put an end to their six-game losing run when they face Queens Park Rangers in the Championship round 38. The Black Cats are running down a blind alley and, as a result, they have slim playoffs chances. As Sunderland have little to play for in the season finale, home win should not be considered.
Daniel Ballard has joined the likes of Jack Clarke, Patrick Roberts, Aji Alese, Dennis Cirkin, Niall Huggins, Corry Evans, and Bradley Dack in the recovery room, while Luke O’Nien misses out through suspension. The Hoops, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 2-0 loss to Middlesbrough and seeing that they want to escape the danger zone, we predict that the visitors will take advantage of Sunderland’s poor form. Midfielder Rayan Kolli should be the only absentee in the away team this time out.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Archer):
Jordan Archer is an English goalkeeper who plays for Millwall in the Championship. Archer started his career in the youth team of Charlton Athletic and he moved to Tottenham Hotspur football academy in 2009. However, he did not see a first-team football at White Hart Lane as he was inmeditely sent on loan to Harrow Bourough (2011).
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Bishop’s Storford, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton he signed a loan deal with Millwall in 2015 and he was soon offered a permanent contract with the capital club. Jordan Archer made 39 appearances for the Lions in the 2016/2017 League One campaign and it has to be noted that he managed to keep 11 clean sheets n the process.
Millwall secured promotion to the Championship at the end of the season as they defeated Bradford City in the final of the League One play-offs. Jordan Archer was born in Walthamstow, England on April 12, 1993.
Highlighted Team (Sunderland):
Sunderland are a professional football club that have been playing their home games at the Stadium of Light since 1997. The capacity of the stadium is 49,000, but before expansion the original ground capacity was 42,000. Red and White shirts are Sunderland’s trademark and the club’s fiercest rivals are Newcastle United. The two local rivals have been contesting in the Tyne-Wear derby since 1898 and there have always been fireworks in what is one of the greatest derbies in English football. Sunderland were on the verge of dropping to the Championship in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but experienced tactician Sam Allardyce eventually helped the team avoid relegation.
The Black Cats have won six First Division trophies (now the Premier League), with the team lifting two FA Cup titles. Sunderland won their first FA Cup trophy in 1937, with the team beating Preston North End 3-1 in the title game. The club was founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C.
