All eyes will be on Dignity Health Sports Park when Los Angeles Galaxy and Colorado Rapids lock horns in an eagerly-awaited MLS game. LA Galaxy have been having their ups and downs of late, but their fine home record (7-3-1) is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Thursday’s showdown. All Dejan Joveljic, Julian Aude, Jonathan Perez, and Gaston Brugman miss out with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Rapids, on the other hand, have been struggling on the travels of late. As Colorado have suffered four defeats in the previous five away games, we predict that the hosts are going to emerge triumphant in the midweek clash. Djordje Mihailovic returns from international duty, while both Jackson Travis and Daniel Chacon remain in the treatment room, speaking of the visiting side. In their last meeting in the Major League Soccer the two sides played out a goalless draw.

Jorge Villafana is an American footballer who began his senior career at Chivas USA. Villafana was born in Anaheim, California on September 16, 1989 and he played for the likes of Santa Ana DSP Juventus and Chivas USA during his youth career.
Nowadays, the American footballer plays for Portland Timbers, but it has to be noted that he made no more than eight appearances for the club in the 2018 season. In 2015, though, Jorge Villafana did well to win the MLS Cup in 2015 and three years later he clinched the Liga MX trophy (Clausura) with Santos Laguna.
Speaking of his international career, the Portland Timbers man made his full USA debut in a friendly against Serbia on January 29, 2017. Over the years Villafana has established himself as a first-choice left-back in the national team. His main position is left-back, but he is capable of playing as a left midfielder as well. The USA international has a dual citizenship (USA, Mexico).

Colorado Rapids is a Major League Soccer club and they compete in the USA professional soccer league as a member of the Western Conference. Colorado began their play in MLS back in 1996 and 14 years later they managed to win the MLS Cup trophy. The Rapids recorded a 2-1 win over FC Dallas in the final of the tournament, with George John scoring the winner for Gary Smith’s team in the extra time. Colorado made it to the MLS Cup final in 1997 as well, but D.C. United proved to be a big catch for the club in the title game.
The Rapids play their home games at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and the venue has been Colorado’s home ground since 2007. It has to be noted that the likes of Tim Howard, Carlos Valderama, Claudio Lopez and Jermaine Jones were all part of the club in the past. Colorado’s colors are red, sky blue and white, but they were yellow shirts and blue shorts when playing on the travels.
