Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Fylkir, Stjarnan will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Paide in the Europa Conference League second qualifying round, first leg. The Icelanders are in the middle of the season and their fine home record is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Thursday’s showdown. In their last home game in the Conference League qualifiers Stjarnan defeated Linfield 2-0 and seeing that influential attacker Emil Atlason returns to the starting XI, home win should be considered.
The Estonian side, on the other hand, eliminated Bala Town after extra-time in the first qualifying round, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Stjarnan, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Milan Delevic is one yellow card away from suspension, but there are no fresh injury worries in the away team.
