New York Red Bulls will be aiming to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Chicago Fire when they take on Atlanta United at Red Bull Arena. The Metros failed to win the previous five league matches, but they are still seen as hot favourites to pick up all three points from Sunday’s clash. Norway forward Dennis Gjengaar is pushing for a rare start after scoring as a substitute in the last league match, while all Sean Nealis, Kyle Duncan, Wikelman Carmona, Emil Forsberg, and Roald Mitchell are out of contention with injuries.
The Five Stripes, on the other hand, head into the match following a 2-2 draw with Inter Miami. Atlanta, though, have not been enjoying a trip to New York City in recent years and given their negative record at Red Bull Arena, home win should be considered.
