Vikingur Reykjavik
Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium will host Thursday’s Conference League game between Noah and Vikingur Reykjavik. Noah are on a seven-game winning run in the national championship and, no doubt, they are desperate to bounce back from a heavy 8-0 loss to Chelsea. Slovakia midfielder Martin Gambos remains on the sidelines with injury, while defender Gudmundur Thorarinsson is unlikely to be risked.
The Icelanders, on the other hand, did well to beat Borac Banja Luka 3-0 in their last Conference League game. However, Vikingur Reykjavik are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Noah’s party in Yerevan. Arnar Gunnlaugsson has a luxury to field the best possible side against Noah. Bear in mind, though, that Vikingur have not been in action in the domestic league since October 27, 2024 when the season came to an end.
