Our prediction for this Championship match:
Blackburn Rovers will be aiming to extend their winning run to six games when they take on Luton Town in the Championship round 21. The Riversiders have been impressive at the back of late, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive clean sheet and they will continue relying on their rock-solid defence in Saturday’s clash. Senegal forward Makhtar Gueye is pushing for a start after scoring the winner as a substitute against Sheffield Wednesday, while all Pickering, Weimann, Toth, Sigurdsson, Carter, Gilsenan, and Wharton remain in the recovery room.
The Hatters, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Stoke City, but given their poor away record in the new Championship campaign, backing home team to win seems like the best option. Luton’s injury list is pretty long, including the likes of Baptiste, Bell, Burke, Doughty, Mengi, Walsh, and Waltes. Wales defender Tom Lockyer is out of contention with heart problems.
