Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Gewiss Stadium will be the centre of attention when Atalanta and Juventus square off against each other in a highly-anticipated Serie A game. The Orobici failed to impress in a goalless draw with Udinese and you should know that they had no more than four goal attempts in the Friuli clash. Top scorer Mateo Retegui could play some part in Tuesday’s derby after overcoming his injury, while Berat Djimisti has joined Gianluca Scamacca in the recovery room. Isak Hien is widely expected to replace Djimsiti in the starting XI.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Torino in the local derby. As key attacker Dusan Vlahovic faces race against the clock to be fit for the midweek game. Francisco Conceicao, on the other hand, is unlikely to feature in the Gewiss Stadium showdown as the Portugal international has yet to overcome his injury. Anyhow, a close encounter is on the cards in Bergamo and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw.
Highlighted Player (Marten de Roon):
After spending his youth career in ASWH, Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam, Marten de Roon made his senior debut on 27 March 2010. The midfielder played for Sparta against Twente back then, but he made no more than three appearances for de Kasteelheren in the 2009/2010 season.
Marten de Roon joined Heerenveen in 2012 and in 2015 he moved to Serie A side Atalanta. He made 36 appearances for Atalanta in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign, but on 4 July, 2016, he signed a contract with Middlesbrough for a reported fee of £12m. The Dutch footballer scored one goal in three appearances for Netherlands U19 team.
Marten de Roon was born in Zwinjndrecht, Netherlands on 29 March, 1991. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as a defensive and attacking midfielder as well. Martin de Roon is a right-footed footballer and he is 185 cm tall.
Highlighted Team (Juventus):
Juventus are considered one of the greatest European football clubs. The Bianconeri (The White and Blacks) have won two Champions League trophies (1985, 1996) and they did well to clinch three UEFA Cup titles (1977, 1990, 1993). The Italian giants have won 32 Serie A trophies and it is well known that a number of star players were part of Juve in the past.
The likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Lilian Thuram, Filippo Inzaghi, Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet all played for Juventus, whilst legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has yet to retire. Juve were stripped two domestic trophies during the “Calciopoli” scandal, but despite being relegated to Serie B, the club quickly brought glory days back to Turin. The Bianconeri used to play their home games at Stadio delle Alpi, but nowadays they welcome their rivals at Juventus Stadium.
The capacity of the stadium is 41,475. La Vechhia Signora (The Old Lady) is yet another nickname of the club. Juve’s biggest rivals are Torino and the two local rivals take on each other in the Turin derby.
