Following back-to-back wins over Breda and Willem II, Utrecht will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on NEC Nijmegen on Matchday 26. Utrecht have found their best form of late and a triumph over Nijmegen will see them stay in the Champions League berth. A man to watch in the home team will be former Ajax attacker Sebastien Haller, who opened his goal-scoring account against the Tricolores, while defender Mike van der Hoorn is a major doubt.
Rogier Meijer’s troops, meanwhile, struggled defensively in a 3-2 loss to Go Ahead Eagles. As NEC Nijmegen have suffered a loss in each of the last two meetings with Utrecht, we are tempted to place our bets on the Champions-League-chasing hosts. To make things even worse for the away team, experienced midfielder Lasse Schone misses Saturday’s game through suspension.

Established on July 1, 1970, Utrecht is a Dutch club that competes in the Eredivisie. The club was founded as a merger of VV DOS, USV Elinkwijk, and Velox, and it has to be noted that VV DOS did well to win the Eredivisie trophy back in 1958.
Utrecht, on the other hand, have yet to win the national championship, but they have lifted three KNVB Cup trophies (1984/85, 2002/03, 2003/04).
