Sassuolo will be looking to put an icing on the cake on a very successful Serie B campaign when they face Catanzaro in their last home game of the process. The Neroverdi did well to secure automatic Serie A promotion, but they obviously want to give fans more reasons to celebrate in the season finale. Luca Mazzittelli limped off with injury in a 1-1 draw with Cremonese at the weekend, with Edoardo Iannoni likely to step up.
Fabio Caserta’s men, on the other hand, are determined to secure their spot in the playoffs. As both Catanzaro and Sassuolo should be happy with one point from Friday’s encounter, we are tempted to place our bets on draw. It has to be noted that both Pietro Iemmello and Marco Pompetti are banned for the visiting team due to the accumulation of yellow cards and sending-off respectively.

Once one of the most promising young players in Serie A, Domenico Berardi is the Italian footballer that plays for Sassuolo and the Italy national team. Born in Cairati, Calabria, the forward begun his professional career back in 2012, when he helped the Neroverdi win Serie B and play in Serie A next season and was named as the best player of the competition, only 18 years of age.
He made his first appearance for the Italy U19 national team in the same season. His excellent performances draw the attention of Juventus and the Old Lady confirmed in the beginning of the Season 2013/14 that Domenico Berardi joined the club on a co-ownership deal.
The player never played for Juventus because he remained in Sassuolo and he recently signed a new contract with the Neroverdi. The 24-year-old right winger, who can also play as a left winger and a second striker, made his first appearance in the senior national team in June 2018.

In the season 2012/2013 Sassuolo managed to promote to the Serie A before playing in the Serie B for four seasons. Sassuolo was founded in 1922 and is known for being one of the smaller teams in the Serie A.
Sassuolo hosts its home games in the Stadio Citta del Tricolore which holds a capacity for approximately 21 000 spectators. Sassuolo is also known as i Neroverdi and plays at home in black and green. The biggest achievements in the club history were in 2007/2008 where the club won the Serie C1 and in season 2012/2013 were Sassuolo won the Serie B as well.
