Our prediction for this Champions League match:
All eyes will be on Camp Nou when Barcelona and Inter square off against each other at Camp Nou in the Group F. The Catalan giants and the Nerazzurri shared the spoils with Borussia Dortmund and Slavia Prague respectively in round 1, meaning that both sides are likely to go for a win in their second group game. Leo Messi is rated doubtful for the Inter game, but considering that Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has strength in depth, we are tempted to put our money on Antoine Griezmann and Co.
The Italian club failed to impress in a 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague and it has to be noted that they were more than fortunate not to suffer a loss in front of home fans in their opener. In their last meeting at Camp Nou Barcelona recorded a 2-0 win over Inter and the history is likely to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Lionel Messi):
Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.
Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).
In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.
Highlighted Team (Inter):
Internazionale Milano, known as Internazionale, Inter or Inter named Milan, is a football club from Italy, founded on March 9, 1908 by a number of "rebels" who did not like in the regulations of the Milan Cricket and Football Club, now known as AC Milan. The main objection was that no foreign players were allowed. In 1928 the club merged with US Milanese and strongly entered a time when Ambrosiana-Inter survived.
The club, nicknamed the Nerazzurri or the blue / blacks has had many successes. This is how Inter Milan won 18 national titles, seven times the Italian Cup, the UEFA Cup 3x, and 3x times the Champions League, formerly known as the European Cup I.
