Our prediction for this Championship match:
High-flying Blackburn Rovers will be aiming to build on a 2-0 win over Bristol City when they take on Wigan Athletic at their Ewood Park. The Riversiders have been in a terrific form of late, with the team recording five wins in the last six league fixtures. Blackburn Rovers aim to move a little closer to the play-offs berth, and we predict that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration on Boxing Day.
Adam Armstrong, who came from the bench and scored in the 2-0 win over Bristol City, is likely to return to the starting line-up for the hosts. The Blues, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in the Championship, with the team conceding seven goals in total in those matches. Birmingham City experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Hull City, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Blackburn Rovers’ party at Ewood Park.

Lewis Holtby is a left-footed footballer who plays for Hamburg as a midfielder. Holtby began his senior career at Alemannia Aachen and he played for the club between 2007 and 2009. The German player then joined Schalke in 2009, but he was quickly sent to Bochum on loan.
After ending his loan spells with Bochum and Mainz, he returned to Schalke and it has to be noted that he made 55 goals for the club, scoring 10 goals in Bundesliga. On 28 January, 2013 Holtby signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur, but he was playing below expectations for the Premier League club.
In September, 2014 Holtby joined Hamburg on loan and on 1 July, 2015 he signed a permanent contract with the club. His contract with Hamburg expires on 30 June, 2018. Lewis Holtby has 24 caps for Germany U21 and he made his debut for German national team on 17 November, 2010 in a goalless draw with Sweden. He started the game, but he was substituted by Andre Schurrle after 77 minutes.
Highlighted Team (Birmingham City):

Birmingham City are a club located in the city of Birmingham, England. Birmingham City were founded in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, but the club’s named was changed to Small Heath in 1888. 17 years later they became Birmingham and in 1943 they finally changed their name to Birmingham City.
The Blues welcome their rivals at St. Andrew’s, the stadium that was opened in 1906. Birmingham City compete in the Championship and their fiercest rivals are WBA and Aston Villa. The Blues made it to the FA Cup final twice, but they have yet to win the prestigious trophy. In 1931 they were beaten by their local rivals WBA in the title game (1-2), whilst in 1956 they were outplayed by Manchester City in the title game.
The colour of Birmingham’s home kit is blue with white stripe. Trevor Francis, Gil Merrick, Bob Latchford, Jeff Hall, Alex Govan, Joe Bradford and Christophe Dugarry are notable footballers who played for the St. Andrew’s outfit in the past.
