Our prediction for this DFB Pokal match:
VELTINS-Arena will host Tuesday’s DFB Pokal clash between Schalke 04 and Hertha BSC, who face each other in the last 16 of the competition. Schalke 04 set up a meeting with Hertha BSC by beating Drochtersen/Assel and Arminia Bielefeld, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against the capital club. The two teams played out a goalless draw in the Bundesliga at the weekend, with fie Knappen failing to turn their dominance into goals.
Schalke 04 are more of a team than Hertha BSC, and we predict that David Wagner’s troops are going to prove their worth on the field this time out. The capital club, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs in the Bundesliga this season, and, as a result, they sit in the middle of the table. Hertha BSC have been impressive on the travels of late, beating Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg away from home, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Schalke 04.
