Our prediction for this League 1 match:
The Cherry Red Records Stadium will host Saturday’s football game between AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley. The Dons made a slow start to the season, with the team suffering back-to-back defeats to the likes of Rotherham United and Fleetwood Town, but it seems as if their performances are better than their results. AFC Wimbledon are desperate to give fans something to cheer about and they will not have a better chance to get back on course as Accrington Stanley have been struggling to find their form at the start of the season.
The Accy experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 2-0 loss to Lincoln City, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Dons. In their last meeting at the Cherry Red Records Stadium the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
Highlighted Player (Scott Wagstaff):

Scott Wagstaff is a Charlton Athletic product who plays for AFC Wimbledon as a midfielder. Born in Maidstone, England on March 31, 1990 the 178-cm tall scored 17 goals in 120 appearances for the Charlton senior team, before spending several seasons on loan at the likes of Bournemouth Nortwich Victoria and Leyton Orient.
In the 2013/2014 season the English footballer signed for Bristol City, penning a three-year deal with the Robins. After netting 8 goals in 72 appearances in the league for the club, Scott Wagstaff moved to Gillingham in the 2016/2017 season, signing a two-year deal with the League One side. The 178-cm-tall midfielder was released by the club chiefs in the summer of 2018.
Scott Wagstaff, who has yet to make his debut with the England national team, current plays for AFC Wimbledon in the League One. His main position is right midfield, but he is used as both central and left midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (Accrington):

Founded back in 1891 and reformed in 1968, Accrington Stanley are an English football club that compete in the League One. The original team competed in the Football League from 1921 to 1962, spending the last four seasons in Lancashire Combination.

The League One side play their home games at Crown Ground, the stadium which can hold up to 5,450 spectators (3,100 seated). Accrington have been playing at Crown Ground since 1970.
Listed as the all-time favourite player amongst fans, Chris Grimshaw is one of the most famous Accrington Stanley footballers. However, George Stewart is the team’s top scorer, netting 136 goals in total from 1954 to 1958. It has to be noted that the Accy have yet to represent England in European competitions.
