Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Portsmouth made a very slow start to the season, but they have been showing signs of improvement of late. Following a hard-fought 1-0 win over rock-bottom Bolton, the Pompey defeated Doncaster Rovers 2-1 on the road in their last league match. Portsmouth aim to keep on climbing the standings and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s football match.
Gareth Evans, who scored his second goal of the season at the weekend, will be one of the men to watch in the home team. Gillingham, on the other hand, did well to put an end to their three-game winless run in the league, with the team beating Southend United 3-1 in their last league fixture. However, given their poor away record in the League One, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the Pompey.
Highlighted Player (Anton Walkes):

Anton Walkes is a product of Tottenham Hotspur football academy. Born in Lewisham, England on February 8, 1997, Walkes is a right-back, who can play in the midfield as well. The English footballer played for the likes of Atlanta United and Portsmouth on loan from 2017 to 2018 before signing a permanent deal with the Pompey at the end of the 2017/2018 season.
Walkes scored only one goal in 24 appearances for Portsmouth in the 2018/2019 League One season, finding the net in a thrilling 5-2 victory at Fleetwood Town. His deal with the Pompey should expire on June 30, 2020 and it has to be noted that his preferred foot is right.
In the 2018/2019 season Anton Walkes won the EFL Trophy with Portsmouth as they defeated Sunderland on penalties in the title game. Walkes came as a substitute for Ben Close in extra-time, spending less than 10 minutes on the field.
Highlighted Team (Gillingham):

Founded back in 1893, Gillingham FC are an English club that compete in the League One. The Gills are well known for their blue shirts with black stripes, but they wear white shirts with a little yellow and blue, and yellow shirts when playing on the travels.
Priestfield Stadium is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding up to 11,582 spectators. Gillingham City have been playing at the stadium since the club’s foundation. Speaking of the club’s main rivals, over the years the Gills have built up a rivalry to Swindon Town. However, it has to be noted that Swindon fans do not consider Gillingham their biggest rivals.
Former goalkeeper Roy Hillyard is the Gillingham City player with the most appearances. The English shot-stopper played for Gillingham City from 1974 to 1991, making 655 appearances for the club. Brian Yeo is the team’s all-time top scorer, netting 149 goals in 387 appearances for the club from 1963 to 1975.
