Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
PSV take on Emmen in a David-vs-Goliath clash at Philips Stadion. The Rood-witten outplayed Groningen 3-1 in the opening match of the season, which was marked by Arjen Robben’s injury. PSV took advantage of the incident, with talented forward Cody Gakpo scoring a brace. The Rood-witten aim to climb to the top position in the standings, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Emmen on Matchday 2.
Dick Lukkien’s troops, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-3 loss to VVV-Venlo, and it is no wonder bookies see them as big underdogs in Saturday’s football match. As previously mentioned, David faces Goliath in Eindhoven, and anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. In their last meeting at Philips Stadion PSV crushed Emmen, which is yet another reason why we predict the visitors will return home empty-handed.
