Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Almeria will be aiming to regain their spot in top two when they face Las Palmas at an empty Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos on Wednesday evening. Almeria are eyeing their third consecutive win in Segunda Division, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the midweek clash. Even though Carlos Laza and Valentin Vada picked up knocks in the 1-0 win over Albacete, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the promotion-chasing side.
Las Palmas, on the other hand, restarted the season with a goalless draw with Girona. Los Amarillos are tough to beat at home, but given their away record in the Spanish second tier, we believe that there is a big value in betting on los Rojiblancos. Las Palmas boss Pepe Mel has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to Almeria. Anyhow, Las Palmas face an uphill task in the midweek fixture.
Highlighted Player (Martin Mantovani):

After spending his youth career at Banfield, Kimberley and Cadetes San Martin, Martin Mantovani signed for Atletico Madrid in 2006. The Argentine defender played seven games for Atletico Madrid B in the 2009/2010 season and he joined Cultural Leonesa at the end of the season. He made 32 appearances for Leonesa in the 2010/2011 season and in 2011 he moved to Atletico Baleares.
Despite establishing himself as a starter at Atletico Baleares, he decided to join Oviedo in 2012. He played for los Azules in the 2012/2013 campaign and at the end of the season he was sent on loan to Leganes. After impressing with Leganes in the 2013/2014 campaign, the club chiefs decided to sign a permanent deal with the Argentine centre back.
He played regularly for the club in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign and, no doubt, he helped the team secure promotion to Spanish elite division. Martin Mantovani was born on 11 August, 1984 in San Miguel. Mantovani’s contract with Leganes expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Las Palmas):

Las Palmas are a Spanish football club based in the Canary Islands. The club was founded on 22 August, 1949. Los Amarillos play in Spanish La Liga and the team’s home ground is Estadio Gran Canaria. The stadium was opened in 2003 and it’s current capacity is 32,150. Miguel Angel Ramirez is the club’s chairman and the club’s main rivals are Tenerife.
Las Palmas impressed in the 2015/2016 La liga campaign, with the team finishing the season in 11th place in the standings. However, it has to be noted that los Amarillos finished the 1968/1969 Primera Division campaign in second place in the table, 11 points behind Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Speaking of Copa del Rey, Las Palmas made it to the final of the Spanish Cup in 1978. Las Palmas eliminated Sporting Gijon in the semis (5-3), but Barcelona outplayed los Amarillos in the title game (3-1).
