Our prediction for this Sweden Allsvenskan match:
All eyes will be on Friends Arena when AIK and Goteborg face each other in the Allsvenskan derby. Depsite suffering a 2-1 loss to Hammarby in their last league match, AIK are still in the race for the title, but this has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts. The capital club are likely to go all guns blazing at Goteborg on Matchday 25 and considering that Poya Asbaghi’s troops experienced all sorts of problems at the back in their last away game against Hammarby (2-6), we are tempted to put our money on the hosts.
The good news for the hosts is that top scorer Tarik Elyounoussi returns from suspension. AIK are a real force to be reckoned with at home and we predict that the Norway international is going to lead the hosts to a very important victory.
Highlighted Team (Goteborg):
IFK Goteborg are yet another successful Swedish club. The Anglarna won their 18th national championship in 2007, but that was their only trophy of the 21st century. IFK Goteborg clinched the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1981/82 and 1986/87), with the team making it to the European Cup semis in both 1985/86 and 1992/1993 season.
Swedish striker Marcus Berg is one of the club’s most notable players. Berg played 53 games for the Anglarna, scoring 21 goals in the league for the club.
