Our prediction for this World Cup 2022 match:
United Arab Emirates play host to Syria at Al Maktoum Stadium in what is expected to be a close World Cup qualifier. UAE quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to South Korea, with the team picking up vital three points from the Lebanon clash. The hosts are eager to cement their spot in top three, but this will be anything but a walk in the park for Bert van Marwijk’s troops.
Ali Ahmed Mabkhout, who scored the winner against Lebanon, is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts. The Syrians, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of Group A with only two points in their pocket. Considering that Valeriu Tita’s troops experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Iran, we are tempted to put our money on UAE.
