Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Cercle Brugge will be looking to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Club Brugge in the local derby when they take on St. Truiden at Stayen on Matchday 23. Cercle Brugge remain in the relegation zone, and, no doubt, they need to improve their game if they are to avoid relegation to the Belgian second tier. However, away win should not be considered as all Decostere, Deuro, Kanoute, Van Damme, and Velkovski are all out of contention.
St. Truiden, on the other hand, head into Sunday’s clash following a 1-1 draw with Gent. De Kanaries were on the verge of winning the midweek fixture, but Gent eventually scored the equalizer in the stoppage time. St. Truiden aim to return to winning ways in the Jupiler League, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to do so. Considering that Peter Maes should have a full squad to choose from against Cercle Brugge, we are tempted to put out money on the hosts.
