There will be fireworks when Brescia and Chievo face each other at Stadio Mario Rigamonti in the Serie B round 23. Brescia are only one point clear of the relegation zone, with the team eyeing their first league win since December 20, 2020. The Rondinelle are desperate to return to winning ways in the Serie B, but they face a difficult task in Sunday’s clash against Chievo.
Both Cistana and Karacic are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. The Mussi Volanti, on the other hand, aim to climb to automatic promotion places, and they should take advantage of Brescia’s anything but good form in 2021. Daniele Dessena is an Italian footballer who was born in Parma on 10 May, 1987. He is a product of Parma’s youth school and he continued played for the Gli Emiliani at senior level. After making 81 league appearances for Parma the 183-cm-tall midfielder joined Sampdoria in 2008, but he spent no more than one season at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Dessena signed a deal with fellow Serie A team Cagliari on 31 August, 2009 and he scored his first goal for the club against his former club Parma. In 2010 he returned to Sampdoria and this time out he spent two seasons at the club. It has to be noted that Dessena has a total of 55 league appearances for Sampdoria.
After impressing during his loan spell with Cagliari, the club chiefs signed a permanent deal with the midfielder in July, 2012 and he has been playing for the Rossoblu ever since. Dessena has 20 caps for Italy U21 and he was a part of the team that won a bronze medal at the 2009 European Championship.

Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
