Venlo
Vitesse will be aiming to make amends for back-to-back losses to Twente and PSV when they host Venlo at their GelreDome on Matchday 24. The Vitas suffered a dip in form, with the team eyeing their first league win since January 23. Vitesse suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to Venlo earlier in 2021, and, no doubt, the hosts are hungry for revenge. Head coach Thomas Letsch should have a full squad to choose from for Saturday’s clash.
Venlo, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to AZ Alkmaar. Considering that the visitors have been struggling at the back of late, Vitesse will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the Dutch elite division. Experienced defender Christiaan Kum is banned for the visiting team, while the likes of Dekker, Hupperts, and Schmitz have all been struggling with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Riechedly Bazoer):
Despite playing for PSV during his youth career, Riechedly Bazoer made his Eredivisie debut with Ajax. The central midfielder who was born on 12 October, 1996 in Utrecht, scored his first goal for Ajax on 15 February, 2015 in a 4-2 victory over Twente.
Four days later he made his European debut with the Amsterdammers, taking part in a 1-0 win over Legia in the Europa League. Bazoer scored five goals in 29 league appearances for Ajax in the 2015/2016 season, but he failed to win the domestic trophy with Frank de Boer’s troops.
Speaking of his international career, Bazoer has two caps for Netherlands U21 team and he made his debut for the first team on 13 November, 2015 against Wales. It has to be noted that he came as a late substitute in the 3-2 victory over the Dragons. Back in 2012 the right-footed midfielder won the UEFA U17 European Championship with the Dutch national team.

Based on the Dutch-German border, VVV-Venlo is a Dutch football club that plays in the Eredivisie. The club was founded on February 7, 1903 under the name of Venlose Voetbal Vereniging, and it’s considered one of the oldest clubs in Dutch football.
VVV Venlo are well known for their yellow shirts and black shorts, and, as a result, they are often called the Yellow Black Army. Venlo play home games at De Koel, the stadium which is able to hold up to 8,000 spectators.
Japan international Keisuke Honda is one of the most notable international footballers who played for the club. However, Honda is not the only Japanese player to wear the yellow jersey as the likes of Maya Yoshida, Robert Cullen, and Yuki Otsu played for the club as well. Roda JC are seen as one of the club’s main rivals, with the two clubs facing each other in the Limburgse derby.
