Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Tenerife will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Leganes when they take on Alcorcon on Sunday evening. Los Insulares have been having their ups and downs in the 2020/21 season, with the team sitting in the 14th position in the standings. Tenerife aim to move closer to the playoffs berth, but the game against the relegation-threatened visitors will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team.
You should bear in mind that Tenerife are eyeing their seventh home win of the season. Alcorcon, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late. The visitors head into the match following back-to-back wins over Logrones and Zaragoza, but seeing that Tenerife are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are tempted to put our money on the islanders. In their last home game in La Liga 2 Tenerife defeated Ponferradina 1-0.
Highlighted Player (Adrian Ortola):
Adrian Ortola is a Spanish goalkeeper who plays for Segunda Division side Tenerife. Born in Xabia, Spain on August 20, 1993, Ortola spent his youth career at the likes of Javea and Alicante before moving to Villarreal in 2008.

In 2013 he moved to Barcelona, being assigned to the reserve team. He played for Alaves and Deportivo La Coruna on loan as well before signing a two-year deal with Tenerife in the summer of 2019.

The club’s biggest success in Copa del rey came in the 2009/10 season when they made it to the last 16 of the prestigious competition. Alcorcon suffered a 3-2 (on agg.) loss to Racing Santander in the round of 16. The club’s home colour is yellow, while their away kit is mainly blue.
Los Alfareros played their first official game on September 8, 1971, with the team losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid youth team. The likes of Cordoba and Leganes are regarded as the club’s main rivals, while David Rodriguez is the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
