Saturday’s football match at Pirelli Stadium pits together Burton Albion and Peterborough United, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. Burton are eager to secure the League One survival, while Peterborough are eyeing automatic promotion to the Championship. The Brewers aim to extend their winning run in the League One to four games, and we are positive that they will adopt yet another attack-minded approach.
Keep in mind, though, that attacker Mike Fondop-Talum, who suffered an injury in the midweek win over Bristol Rovers, is unlikely to feature against Peterborough. The 175-cm-tall midfielder has 18 caps with Australia U-23 and it has to be noted that he played for the Socceroos at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Speaking of his club career, Edwards is a product of AIS, the high performance sports training institution from Australia, but in 2011 he was spotted by Reading scouts.
Ryan Edwards played for the Royals at senior level, making seven appearances for the club in the league. The Australian international whore Perth Glory (loan), St. Mirren (loan), Partick Thistle and Heart of Midlothian shirts as well before signing a deal with Burton Albion in 2019.
He made his debut with the Brewers in the League One on August 3, 2019 in a 1-0 loss to Ipswich Town. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of producing fine performances at both central and right midfield as well.
