High-flying Port Vale will be looking to extend their winning run to six matches when they take on Morecambe on Saturday afternoon. The Valiants look unstoppable at the moment, but they have slim chances of booking their place in the playoffs. Kurtis Guthrie, who found the net in the 2-0 win over Harrogate, is eyeing his first start since March 9, when Port Vale played out a goalless draw with Oldham.
The Shrimps, on the other hand, are eager to secure automatic promotion to the League One. Morecambe are only one point behind top three, and, no doubt, they want this win more that the Valiants. The Shrimps failed to turn their dominance into victory in the 1-1 draw with Southend, but they are surely capable of beating Port Vale, who are stuck in the middle of the standings. A man to watch in the away team will be Spanish winger Carlos Mendes Gomes, who has netted 12 goals so far this season.
