Sunderland will be looking to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive when they take on Wigan Athletic at DW Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Black Cats have been producing fine displays in the second half of the season, but they failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to Charlton at the weekend. Even though Bailey Wright, Jordan Willis, and Tom Flanagan remain sidelined with injuries, away win should be considered as this has to go down as a must-win game for the promotion-chasing visitors.
The Latics, on the other hand, picked up vital three points from the Doncaster clash, but despite the victory they remained in the relegation zone. Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on the Black Cats as the Latics have already suffered 11 defeats on the road this season. In the first half of the season Wigan defeated Sunderland at Stadium of Light, meaning that the visitors are hungry for revenge.
