Real Oviedo will be aiming to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sporting Gijon when they take on Girona in the La Liga 2 round 36. Los Azulones moved away from the relegation zone, but they are still only seven points clear of bottom four. Real Oviedo are eyeing their sixth home win of the season, but this match will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team.
The Catalan outfit, on the other hand, continue with their habit of producing much better performances at home than on the travels. Girona proved their worth in a 3-0 win over Zaragoza, with Veteran Stuani scoring his 8th goal of the season. The Uruguay attacker should keep his place up front alongside Sylla, who found the net at the weekend as well. Anyhow, the playoffs-chasing visitors want this win more than the hosts, which is the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Catalan side.

Born in Madrid, Spain on May 1, 1989, Alejandro Arribas is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Oviedo in La Liga 2. Arribas is a very experienced defender as he played for Primera Division sides Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna, Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla in the past.
He is a product of Rayo Majadahonda football school, but he did not see any game action with the club at senior level. Alejandro Arribas played for Mexican club UNAM before signing a three-year deal with Real Oviedo in the summer of 2019.
He made his debut with los Azules in a 2-1 loss to Fuenlabrada on August 31, 2019. The towering defender has never received a call-up for the Spain national football team. His main position is centre-back, but he can be used as a right-back as well if needed. The right-footed footballer has a contract with Real Oviedo until June 30, 2021.

After several unsuccessful attempts, finally secured promotion to Primera Division at the end of the 2016/2017 season. The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
The Catalan team wear white shirts with red stripes when playing at home, while the colour of their shorts is blue. The team’s away kits are blue and black and Sporting Gijon are considered one of Girona’s fiercest rivals.
