Our prediction for this MLS match:
Cincinnati and Inter Miami go head to head at Nippert Stadium in what is expected to be an interesting MLS game. Cincinnati have been struggling at the back at the start of the season, with the team already conceding ten goals in the process. Jaap Stam’s men are low on confidence ahead of Sunday’s clash, and seeing that all Franko Kovacevic, Maikel van der Werff, Luciano Acosta, and Przemyslaw Tyton have been struggling with injuries of late, home win should not be considered.
Inter Miami, on the other hand, are on a three-game winless run in the Major League Soccer. Gonzalo Higuain and Co, though, will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways, and we are positive that they will take advantage of Cincinnati’s shaky defence. Both Nicolas Figal and Julian Carranza are out of contention with injuries, while Robbie Robinson is rated doubtful for the game.
Highlighted Player (Kendall Waston):
Kendall Waston is yet another Costa Rican footballer who plays in MLS. The Vancouver Whitecaps centre back started his senior career at Sarprissa of Costa Rica and he played for the likes of Carmelita, Nacional, Bayamon, UCR and Perez Zeledon (on loan) in the past as well.
Waston moved to MLS in the summer of 2014, signing a deal with Vancouver Whitecaps. The Costa Rica international scored only two goals in 11 appearances for the club in the 2014 season, but the club chiefs decided to keep hold of him. He found the net twice in 30 league games in the 2015 MLS campaign, while scoring three goals in his last season with the Canadian club.
Kendall Waston was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on January 1, 1988 and he made his debut for the Costa Rica national team in May, 2013 in a match against Canada. The Vancouver Whitecaps forward scored his first goal for los Ticos on December 16, 2015 in a 1-0 victory over Nicaragua.
Highlighted Team (Inter Miami):
Inter Miami is an American football (soccer) club that has been competing in the Major League Soccer since 2020. The Herons faced Los Angeles FC on their MLS debut, with the team suffering a 1-0 loss at Venue Banc of California Stadium.
Inter Miami recorded their first MLS win on August 23, 2020, with the team beating Orlando City 3-2 during the coronavirus pandemic. The Herons wear white shirts and violet shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Inter Miami welcome their rivals at Inter Miami FC Stadium, the venue which can hold no more than 18,000 spectators.
The stadium was opened on July 18, 2020. Former Manchester United and England ace David Beckham shares the ownership of the club with the likes of Marcelo Claure, Jorge and Jose Mas, and Masayoshi Son. Uruguay tactician Diego Alonso is the first head coach in the history of the club.
