Leeds United
St. Mary’s Stadium will host Tuesday’s football match between Southampton and Leeds United, the two teams, who have been in a fine form in the season finale. The Whites aim to build on back-to-back wins over Tottenham and Burnley, and we are positive that they will stick to their attacking style of play. Both Costa and Forshaw remain in the recovery room, but there are no suspended players in the away team ahead of the midweek clash.
The Saints, on the other hand, did well to beat Crystal Palace and Fulham in the previous two league fixtures. Danny Ings has overcome his injury, and given Southampton’s attacking potential, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Both Bertrand and Smallbone are sidelined with injuries, while Bednarek and Romeu will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Highlighted Player (Fraser Forster):
Originating from Hexham, Fraser Forster is an English goalkeeper who spent his early career at Newcastle United, but surprisingly did not make a single Premier League appearance during the seven years at St James’ Park. Forster first showed promise during the loan spell with Norwich City, but it was the stint with Celtic that earned him wide acclaim and saw him become an England international.
After spending four years at Parkhead, the highly rated goalkeeper returned to the Premier League to sign for Southampton and he has since acted as club’s number one goalkeeper. Forster has been a member of the England national team since 2013, usually acting as a back up for Joe Hart, making a handful of appearances in international friendlies.
Forster was in the Three Lions squad at the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016, and with quite a few of good years in front of him, the towering goalkeeper should get the opportunity to win few more England caps before he retires from football.

Leeds United is one of the clubs that won the FA Cup. The Whites outplayed Arsenal in the final of the prestigious competition back in 1972, but they clinched the League Cup trophy as well. Leeds United faced the Gunners in the 1967/1968 League Cup final and it has to be noted that Terry Cooper scored the winner for the Whites.
Leeds play their home games at Elland Road and the capacity of the stadium is 37,914. The club was founded in 1919 and they have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies ever since (1968/1969, 1973/1974, 1991/1992). Leeds United made it to the Champions League final in 1975, but they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the title clash.
The Whites were impressive under David O’Leary. The likes of Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer, Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Ian Harte were part of the Elland Road outfit back then and they did well to reach the semis of the Champions League in 2001.
