King Saud University Stadium will host Friday’s football game between Singapore and Saudi Arabia. Thanks to a 3-0 win over Yemen, the Saudis retained top position in the standings, with the team once again proving their worth in the ASIA World Cup qualifiers. Herve Renard is doing a great job with the Saudi Arabia national team. His men are on a quest to put icing on the cake on a very successful qualifying campaign, and we predict that they will take advantage of Singapore’s shaky defence.
The hosts experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-0 loss to Uzbekistan, which is probably the main reason why away win should be considered. Singapore midfielder Hafiz Sujad, who suffered an injury in the last qualifying match, is unlikely to feature in Friday’s clash against Saudi Arabia.
Highlighted Player (Salem Al-Dawsari):
Salem Al-Dawsari is a Saudi Arabian footballer who plays on loan at Villarreal. The Al-Hilal footballer was born on August 19, 1991 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and his main position is winger. Salem Al-Dawsari scored 21 goals in 114 appearances for Al-Hilal in the national championship.
Speaking of his career at Villarreal, the Saudi footballer made his debut for the Yellow Submarine against Real Madrid in the 2017/2018 season finale. Al-Dawsari substituted Javi Fuego in 57th minute of the match and it has to be noted that he was shown a yellow card in the stoppage time. The Saudi Arabian footballer scored his first goal for the national team against Australia back in 2012.
In May 2018 Al-Dawsari was named in Saudi Arabia’s preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals. As previously mentioned, his main position is winger, but the 171-cm-tall footballer can be used as a secondary striker as well.

Saudi Arabia Football Federation was established back in 1956, but the Saudis qualified for a major tournament 28 years later, when they participated in the AFC Asian Cup. In 1988 Saudi Arabia won their first trophy, with the team beating South Korea in the Asian Cup final.
Eight years later they repeated the success and it has to be noted that they have been playing at the Asian Cup finals ever since. Speaking of their appearances at the FIFA World Cup finals, the Green Falcons did well to qualify for the 1994 tournament, where they made it to the last 16. Saudi Arabia participated at the 1998, 2002 and 2006 tournament as well, but they missed out on a place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.
However, the Asian side booked their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia thanks to a win over Japan in their last group game in the qualifiers. Saudi Arabia’s home kits are white, whilst they wear green jerseys and shirts when playing on the road.
