Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Derry City and Sligo Rovers go head to head at Brandywell Stadium in what is expected to be a close encounter. Derry City are undefeated in the previous seven league fixtures, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Monday’s clash. William Patching has been scoring goals for fun of late, and, no doubt, all eyes will be on the 22-year old when the two teams face each other on Matchday 17. It has to be noted that the Candystripes are eyeing their fourth home win of the process.
Sligo Rovers, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Drogheda United and St. Patricks. The Bit O’Red are eager to stay in the title race, but beating the in-form Candystripes on the road is easier said than done. As previously mentioned, a close match is on the horizon, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Midfielder Robert McCourt is injured for the visiting team.
