Uruguay
After dropping two points in a 1-1 draw with Chile, Argentina will be aiming to record their first win of the tournament when they face Uruguay in Brasilia. La Albiceleste will once again rely on Leo Messi, who opened his goal-scoring account against Chile, but Inter attacker Lautaro Martinez is likely to make life difficult for the opposition defenders as well. Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni is unlikely to make changes to the starting XI.
La Celeste, on the other hand, are eager to impress in their Copa America opener. Man Utd attacker Edinson Cavani returns from suspension to rejoin Luis Suarez up front. Uruguay have been impressive at the back in the World Cup qualifiers, and seeing that Argentina are likely to adopt a cautious approach in Saturday’s clash as well, we are tempted to put our money on under 2.5 goals.

Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.
Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).
In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.

La Celeste are one of the most successful South American nations. Uruguay are frequently the champions of the continent having most recently won the tournament in 2011. They have won the Copa America a record 15 times including the first ever edition of the competition in 1916, while the team has also won FIFA World Cup in two occasions including the inaugural competition in 1930 when they defeated Argentina 4-2 in the final as hosts.
Their second World Cup title came in 1950 when Uruguay and Brazil played a legendary match which recorded a higher attendance than any other football match in the history of the game. Uruguay is the smallest country in the world to have won a World Cup by population, but La Celeste are proud of their football heritage which yielded some of the best footballers in the world over the course of history.
Most notable player of the current selection is Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, who is also the team’s top scorer with 45 goals to his name.
