Our prediction for this match:
All eyes will be on Estadio Zubieta XXI when Deportivo Alaves and Real Sociedad face each other in a pre-season friendly. Alaves somehow secured the La Liga survival last season, and, no doubt, they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. Summer signing Taichi Hara is likely to play some part in Saturday’s friendly. It has to be noted that Javi Calleja’s troops rolled over Amorebieta 5-2 in their last warm-up game.
La Real, on the other hand, kicked off pre-season with a 6-1 crushing of Huesca. Even though key attacker Oyrazabal is on international duty with Spain Olympics team, we believe that Real Sociedad are going to emerge triumphant in the Basque derby as they are more of a team than Deportivo Alaves. In their last meeting in Primera Division La Real outplayed their local rivals 4-0.
