Adams Park will host Saturday’s football game between Wycombe Wanderers and Accrington Stanley. Wycombe did well to beat Premier League side Leicester City in their last warm-up game, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the season opener. A man to watch in the home team will be Sam Vokes as Uganda international Uche Ikpeazu left the club in the summer transfer window.
Accrington, on the other hand, suffered a 2-0 loss to Bradford City in their last pre-season friendly. Considering that promotion-chasing Wycombe have turned their Adams Park into a real fortress, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. New signings Joel Mumbongo is likely to make his Accrington debut against Wycombe. In their last meeting in the English third tier the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.

Jason McCarthy is a product of the famous Southampton youth academy. McCarthy started his youth career in his hometown club back in 2002 and he made his senior debut with the Saints in the Premier League on December 26, 2014, coming as a substitute for Nathaniel Clyne in a 3-1 away victory at Crystal Palace.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at Wycombe Wanderers and Walsall, the English defender signed a three-year deal with Barnsley in the summer of 2017 for an undisclosed fee. Jason McCarthy was struggling to secure a first-team football at the Oakwell stadium outfit and, as a result, he returned to Wycombe Wanderers on August 9, 2018, penning a three-year contract with the League One side.
His preferred foot is right, his main position centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. Jason McCarthy was born in Southampton on November 7, 1995.

Founded back in 1891 and reformed in 1968, Accrington Stanley are an English football club that compete in the League One. The original team competed in the Football League from 1921 to 1962, spending the last four seasons in Lancashire Combination.
The Accy are well known for their red home kit, whilst they wear sky blue shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The League One side play their home games at Crown Ground, the stadium which can hold up to 5,450 spectators (3,100 seated). Accrington have been playing at Crown Ground since 1970.
Listed as the all-time favourite player amongst fans, Chris Grimshaw is one of the most famous Accrington Stanley footballers. However, George Stewart is the team’s top scorer, netting 136 goals in total from 1954 to 1958. It has to be noted that the Accy have yet to represent England in European competitions.
