Sporting Kansas City
Dick’s Sporting Good Park will host Sunday’s football game between Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City. Colorado did well to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Real Salt Lake, with the team beating Austin on the road thanks to Andre Shinyashiki’s goal, and, no doubt, they are high on spirits ahead of the visit of Sporting. The good news for the hosts is that all Acosta, Kaye, Lewis, and Vines return from international duty.
The Wizards, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 4-1 win over Los Angeles FC. Sporting Kansas City have been impressive in front of goal of late, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Since Colorado proved their worth in their last league match, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Both Duke and Hernandez are sidelined with injuries.

Diego Rubio is a Chilean attacker who signed his first professional deal with Colo-Colo. Rubio, though, made only eight league appearances (scoring three goals) for the Chilean outfit and in 2011 he moved to Europe, signing a deal with Primeira Liga team Sporting Lisbon. After playing only 11 league matches for the Lions, the 179-cm tall striker joined Spanish club Valladolid at the age of 22.
It has to be noted that during his spell with Sporting Lisbon he was loaned to the likes of Pandurii Targu Kiu and Sandnes Ulf. On September 1, 2016 Diego Rubio signed a permanent teal with Sporting Kansas City and he has been playing for the MLS club ever since.
Rubio was born on May 15, 1993 in Santiago, the capital of Chile, and he made his debut for the Chilean national football team in June, 2011 against Paraguay. His contract with Sporting Kansas City expires on June 30, 2017.

Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties.
The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz.
