Sporting Kansas City
Dallas play host to Sporting Kansas City at their Toyota Stadium in what is expected to be a close MLS game. The Toros have been in a splendid form of late, with the team winning three, while drawing one of the previous four league fixtures. Dallas did well to beat Sporting Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park earlier in August, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
Even though both Che and Redzic remain in the recovery room, we believe that home win should be considered. The Wizards, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the Leagues Cup defeat to Club Leon (1-6), which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Toros. Talented defender Jaylin Lindsey, who limped off with injury in the defeat to Leon, is out of contention for the visitors.

Matthew Hedges is a 193-cm tall centre back who was born in Rochester, New York on April 1, 1990. At the age of 18 he started his college career at Butler Bulldogs and in 2011 he moved to North Carolina Tar Heels. After scoring 18 goals in total in college football, Matt played for Reading United before joining MLS club FC Dallas.
The American footballer has been playing for FC Dallas since 2012 and in 2016 he won both US Open Cup and Supporters’ Shield with the Toros. Matthew Hedges made his debut for USA national soccer team on February 8, 2015, coming as a substittute in the 72nd minute in a friendly against Panama.
2017 was the most successful year of his career as he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Yenks. USA defeated Jamaica 2-1 in the title game, but Matt Hedges was not given an opportunity to play in the final. His preferred foot is right.

Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties.
The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz.
