Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Saturday’s football game at Whaddon Road pits together Cheltenham Town and MK Dons, the two teams who played some high-scoring games in the past. Cheltenham Town head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Burton Albion where they had no more than seven goal attempts. Even though head coach Michael Duff should have a full squad to choose from, we are not tempted to put our money on the hosts, who have yet to find their best form in the new League One campaign.
MK Dons, on the other hand, proved their worth in a 2-0 win over Accrington. The Dons have been impressive in front of goal at the start of the season, which is yet another reason why away win should be considered. Liam Manning has no fresh injury worries, and he is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Accrington.
Highlighted Player (Chris Hussey):
Born in Hammersmith, England, Christopher Hussey is an experienced defender who plays for Cheltenham Town in the League Two. After spending his youth career at the likes of Woking and AFC Wimbledon, Hussey continued playing for the Dons at senior level.
He played for a number of English clubs in the past, but, no doubt, the most notable one is Sheffield United. Chris Hussey made seven appearances for the Blades in the League One, but nowadays he is a League Two player. His main position is left-back, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a left midfielder as well.
It has to be noted that he was called up for the England C team as a standby. Christopher Hussey made his Cheltenham Town debut on August 21, 2018 in a 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town. He scored his first goal with the Robins in a 4-2 loss to Mansfield Town.
Highlighted Team (MK Dons):
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes Dons are a League One club that welcome their rivals at Stadium MK. The venue was opened in 2007 and can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Milton Keynes Dons play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst their away kit is red.
The Dons are one of the youngest clubs in England as they were founded in 2004, but they are well known for youth development. English attacker is the club’s all-time top goal-scorer, netting 62 goals in 165 appearances for MK Dons. Dele Alli, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, is the most famous footballer to have played for the Milton Keynes Dons, netting 18 goals in 62 appearances for the club in the league.
Speaking of notable coaches, it has to be noted that former Liverpool superstar Robbie Fowler and ex German international Dietmar Hamman were in charge of the club.
