Accrington
Sunderland and Accrington face each other at Stadium of Light in what should be one of the most exciting games of Saturday’s program. The Black Cats are on a quest to return to the Championship, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to turn the dream into reality. Considering that Sunderland were not in action at the weekend, tired legs should not be a problem for Lee Johnson’s troops. Scotland international Ross Stewart, who scored a brace in the 3-1 win over Wycombe, is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
Accrington, on the other hand, aim to overtake Sunderland in top position, but seeing that the Black Cats are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the visitors are going to grab something from the match. Accrington boss John Coleman should have a full squad to choose from for the League One derby, while Sunderland defender Bailey Wright needs to be tested negative for coronavirus if he is to take part in the Stadium of Light clash.

The total of 20 goals in 44 appearances at Stadium MK was where Wigan Athletic noticed the Northern Ireland man and moved in to sign him on a three year contract for a £1 million fee in 2015. ‘Will Grigg’s on Fire’ was the hit song of the Euro 2016 even though the Northern Ireland striker ended up not getting a chance to make a bow in the tournament.

Founded back in 1891 and reformed in 1968, Accrington Stanley are an English football club that compete in the League One. The original team competed in the Football League from 1921 to 1962, spending the last four seasons in Lancashire Combination.
The Accy are well known for their red home kit, whilst they wear sky blue shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. The League One side play their home games at Crown Ground, the stadium which can hold up to 5,450 spectators (3,100 seated). Accrington have been playing at Crown Ground since 1970.
Listed as the all-time favourite player amongst fans, Chris Grimshaw is one of the most famous Accrington Stanley footballers. However, George Stewart is the team’s top scorer, netting 136 goals in total from 1954 to 1958. It has to be noted that the Accy have yet to represent England in European competitions.
