Celta Vigo
Real Madrid play host to Celta Vigo on day 4 of the new La Liga campaign. Los Blancos made a promising start to the season, with the team leading the standings ahead of Sunday’s football match. Carlo Ancelotti’s troops recorded a very important 1-0 win over Real Betis before the international break, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as hot favourites to beat Os Celeste on home soil. Tony Kroos returned to training, but this game comes too early for the German international, while Luka Modric, Dani Ceballos, and Ferland Mendy remain in the recovery room.
Marcelo, on the other hand, could play some part in Sunday’s clash. Celta Vigo made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only one point in total from possible nine, and they are unlikely to spoil Real Madrid’s party at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Both Tapia and Araujo return late from international duties, and the duo is unlikely to feature against Los Blancos.

Luka Modric is regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football. The Croatian ace is a product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth school and it has to be noted that he played 94 league games for the Modri between 2003 and 2008. In 2008 he signed a six-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £16.5 million.
Luka made his Tottenham debut on 16 August, 2008 in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium. The Croatian star scored only 13 goals in 127 league appearances for the Spurs, but he is well known for his brilliant passing. In 2012 he signed for Real Madrid for a fee of £30 million and he made his debut against Barcelona in the 2012 Spanish Super Cup, return leg.
Modric quickly established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, he helped the capital club win two Champions League trophies (2013/2014, 2015/2016). You should bear in mind that he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

Celta de Vigo is a Spanish football club from Vigo in the Galicia region. The club was founded in 1923 after a fusion between Real Club Fortuna de Vigo and Real Vigo Sporting. From 1997 until 2003 Celta de Vigo managed to become a strong team in the Primera Division. Highlight was season 2003/2004 where the club managed to reach the knock out stage of the Champions League but in the same season the team got downgraded to the Segunda Division.
