Our prediction for this Championship match:
Blackburn Rovers and Hull City go head to head at Ewood Park in the Championship round 7. The Riversiders aim to put an end to their three-game winless run, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to do so. Both Bradley Dack and Scott Wharton remain on the sidelines through injuries, but Brereton Diaz will be available. All Tayo Edun, Joe Rankin-Costello, Jan Paul van Hecke, and Bradley Johnson are rated doubtful.
The Tigers, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season. Hull City failed to find the net in the previous five league fixtures, and seeing that Blackburn Rovers are determined to return to winning ways, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. Defender Alfie Jones is a major doubt for the visiting team, while George Honeyman has yet to recover from his injury.
Highlighted Player (Lewis Holtby):
Lewis Holtby is a left-footed footballer who plays for Hamburg as a midfielder. Holtby began his senior career at Alemannia Aachen and he played for the club between 2007 and 2009. The German player then joined Schalke in 2009, but he was quickly sent to Bochum on loan.
After ending his loan spells with Bochum and Mainz, he returned to Schalke and it has to be noted that he made 55 goals for the club, scoring 10 goals in Bundesliga. On 28 January, 2013 Holtby signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur, but he was playing below expectations for the Premier League club.
In September, 2014 Holtby joined Hamburg on loan and on 1 July, 2015 he signed a permanent contract with the club. His contract with Hamburg expires on 30 June, 2018. Lewis Holtby has 24 caps for Germany U21 and he made his debut for German national team on 17 November, 2010 in a goalless draw with Sweden. He started the game, but he was substituted by Andre Schurrle after 77 minutes.
Highlighted Team (Hull City):
Hull City are a professional football club that was founded back in 1904. The Tigers used to play their home games at Boothferry Park, but they moved to the KC Stadium in 2002. The stadium capacity is 24,450.
Hull impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and, as a result, they returned to the English Premier League. Hull City fans consider Leeds United their main rivals, but Sheffield United are regarded as Hull’s fierce rivals as well. Steve Bruce took over the reins at the club in 2012 and the experienced tactician helped the team book a place in the 2013/2014 FA Cup final, but Arsenal proved to be a big catch for the Tigers in the title decider.
Hull City finished the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign in 16th place in the standings to achieve their highest ever top flight finish. It has to be noted that Curtis Davies was named the team’s player of the year in the 2013/2014 season.
