Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Vitality Stadium when Bournemouth and Queens Park Rangers take on each other in the Championship round 7. The Cherries aim to build on a 3-0 win over Barnsley, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach. Even though Junior Stanislas remains in the recovery room, we predict that the promotion-chasing hosts are going to find the net in the midweek clash. Lewis Cook is yet another absentee in the home team.
As always, Dominic Solanke will pose a big threat to the opposition defenders. The Hoops, on the other hand, played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Reading at Madejski Stadium at the weekend, and given their attacking potential, over 2.5 goals betting option should be considered. Both Lee Wallace and Sam Field are out of contention with injuries, whereas Luke Amos returns to the squad.
Highlighted Player (Joshua King):
Joshua King is a Norway international who plays for Premier League side Bournemouth as a striker. King was born in Oslo on January 15, 1992 and he started his career at the youth team of Romsas. In 2006 the Norwegian footballer moved to Valerenga and two years later he joined Premier League giants Manchester United. Nonetheless, he did not see any game action at Old Trafford as he was immediately sent on loan to Preston.
Joshua King played for the likes of Borussia M’gladbach, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers on loan as well before signing a permanent deal with the Riversiders in January, 2013. The pacey attacker scored only three goals in 56 appearances in the league for Blackburn Rovers, but in 2015 Bournemouth chiefs decided to bring him to Vitality Stadium.
Joshua King impressed in the 2016/2017 Premier League campaign, with the Norwegian striker scoring 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Cherries. King provided two assists for his teammates in the process as well.
Highlighted Team (QPR):
Queens Park Rangers are well known as QPR. The capital club was founded in 1886 and Loftus Road Stadium is QPR’s ground. Loftus Road Stadium was opened in 1904 and the capacity of the venue 18,439. However, it has to be noted that no less than 35,353 spectators watched the game between QPR and Leeds on 27 April, 1974.
The Hoops finished the 1975/1976 First Division campaign in second position in the standings, just behind champions Liverpool. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but Queens Park Rangers made it to the FA Cup final in 1982 as well.
QPR were beaten by fellow capital club Tottenham Hotspur in the title game, but they did well to lift the League Cup trophy in 1967. Queens Park’s main rivals are Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, but other clubs based in London are considered QPR’s rivals as well. The colour of QPR’s shirts is blue and white.
