Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
After playing out a goalless draw with Leuven before the international break, Beerschot VA will look to register their first win of the process when they take on Mechelen on Sunday afternoon. Beerschot were playing an important role in the Jupiler League last season, but, as things stand now, they will find it hard to secure yet another elite division survival. Defender Jan Van den Bergh returns from suspension, while midfielder Thibault De Smet serves the second of his two-match ban.
Mechelen, on the other hand, look unstoppable at the moment, and given their three-game winning run in the Belgian top flight, away win should definitely be considered. Both Joachim Van Damme and Thibault Peyre are sidelined with injuries, while Niklo Dailly and Dylan Dassy are rated doubtful for the game.
