Buoyed by a 4-1 win over Queens Park Rangers, Fulham will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Cardiff City at their Craven Cottage. The Cottagers quickly bounced back from a heavy loss to Coventry City, with key attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic 11th and then 12th goal of the season. The Serbia ace looks unstoppable at the moment, and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Ivan Cavaleiro is sidelined with injury, with Bobby Reid stepping up. Both Antonee Robinson and Nathaniel Chalobah are pushing for a start as well. The Bluebirds, on the other hand, are on a six-game losing run in the Championship. Cardiff City have already conceded 22 goals in the process, and seeing that Fulham are a real force to be reckoned with at home, the underdogs are unlikely to grab something from the midweek clash. Issac Vassell should be the only absentee in the away side.

Tom Cairney is a professional footballer who plays for Fulham. His main position is central midfielder, but he plays as an attacking midfielder and a right midfielder as well. The left-footed player was born in Nottingham, England on 20 January, 1991 and he started his youth career at Leeds United.
In 2007 he moved to Hull City and he was named Hull’s Young Player of the Year for the 2008/2009 campaign. After making 70 league appearances for the Tigers he joined Blackburn Rovers on 1 August, 2013 on loan and on 2 January, 2014 he signed a permanent deal with the Riversiders. At the end of the 2014/2015 Championship campaign he joined Fulham.
Tom Cairney’s father is Scottish and, as a result, the Fulham footballer decided to represent Scotland on the international stage. Cairney has 2 caps for Scotland U-21 and he made 6 appearances for Scotland U-21 team. It has to be noted that he suffered a serious injury in August 2012. The injury forced him to be out of contention for over three months.

The Bluebirds played their first ever Premier League match on 18 August, 2013, but they were beaten by West Ham United (0-2) on their debut in the English top flight. However, a week later Fraizer Campbell (two goals) and Aron Gunnarson helped Cardiff City record their first ever win in the Premier League.
