Omonia
Basel will be looking to climb to top position in Group H when they host Omonia to their St. Jakob-Park on Thursday evening. The RotBlau did well to beat Kairat in their second group game, with Brazil international Arthur producing yet another brilliant display. Arthur returns to the starting XI after he was rested in a 1-0 win over Sion at the weekend.
Omonia, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Qarabag, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in Thursday’s clash. Basel are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and we predict that they will prove their worth on the field. Nigeria attacker Iyayi Atiemwen, who limped off with injury in a 1-0 win over Apollon at the weekend, is unlikely to feature against the Cypriotes.

After spending his youth career in Swiss clubs BSC Old Boys and FC Basel Timm Klose made his first-team debut for FC Thun during the 2009/2010 Swiss Challenge League campaign. The 193-cm-tall centre-back scored four goals in 59 appearances in the league for the Stockhorn Arena outfit and in May, 2011 he moved to Germany, signing a three-year deal with Nurnberg for a fee of €400,000.
After playing 45 games (league) for der Ruhmreiche Timm Klose joined Wolfsburg and he played for the Wolves from 2013 to 2016. In the winter of 2016 signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Premier League side Norwich City, but and the end of the season the Canaries dropped to the Championship.
Despite being born in Frankfurt, Germany Timm Klose represents Switzerland on the international stage and it has to be noted that he made his full senior debut for the Swiss national team on August 10, 2011 in a 2-1 win over Liechtenstein. He represented Switzerland at the 2012 Olympics as well.

Founded on June 4, 1948, Omonia are considered one of the most famous clubs in the history of Cyprus football. The Queen welcome their opponents at GSP Stadium in Nicosia. The venue was opened in 1999 and it can hold up to 22,859 spectators.
However, the stadium’s record attendance is 23,043. Omonoia are the second most successful club in Omonia, with the team winning 20 domestic championships, eight less than APOEL. On the other hand, the club clinched their 14th Cypriot Cup title in the 2011/12 season. The Cypriot outfit made their debut in the Champions League (European Cup) in the 1966/67 season, with the team suffering a heavy 10-1 loss (on agg.) to Bundesliga side 1860 Munich.
Omonia are well known for their light green home shirts, with the team wearing red when playing on the travels. The 1970s are considered the club’s golden era. Led by talented footballer Sotiris Kaiafas, Omonia won seven league titles in that decade.
