Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Wednesday’s football game at Dens Park pits together Dundee and Ross County, the two teams who will fight hard to secure the Premiership survival. Dundee head into the relegation six-pointer following a 1-1 draw with Hearts, and, no doubt, they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Jason Cummings should be recalled to the starting XI after finding the net in the last league match, while Alex Jakubiak remains in the recovery room.
The Staggies, on the other hand, will be without injured duo Randall – Vokins in the midweek clash. Ross County are having a season to forget, and given their poor defensive display in a 3-2 loss to Livingston, we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on the home side. In their last meeting in a competitive match Dundee defeated Ross County 3-0.
Highlighted Player (Ross Doohan):
Born in Clydebank, Scotland on March 29, 1998, Ross Doohan is a talented goalkeeper who plays for Ross County on loan from Celtic. Doohan is a product of the Celtic football academy, but he has yet to see a game action with the Hoops in the Premiership.
The 186-cm tall shot-stopper played for the likes of Cumbernauld Colts, Greenock Morton, and Ayr United as well before signing a loan deal with Ross County. Ross Doohan made his Ross County debut in the Premier League in a goalless draw with Hibernian on October 17, 2020.
Speaking of his international career, the Ross County goalkeeper has 11 caps with the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team. He made his debut for the U21 team in a 1-1 draw with Togo U21 at the 2018 World Youth Festival in Toulon. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Ross County):
Founded back in 1929, Ross County are professional football club that compete in the Scotland Premier League. The Staggies welcome their rivals at Victoria Park, the stadium which can accommodate up to 6,541 (all-seated) people. Ross County have a bitter rivalry with fellow Highlanders Inverness Caledonian, with the two teams facing each other in Highland derby.
The Staggies recorded their biggest win against St Cuthbert Wanderers (11-0) in the 1993/94 Scottish Cup round 1, whereas their biggest loss came in the third round of the 1961/62 Scottish Cup campaign, with the team suffered a 7-0 defeat to Kilmarnock. Michael Gardyne, who scored 71 goals in 392 appearances for Ross County, is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart.
Ross County have never won the Scottish Premier League trophy, but they did well to make it to the Scottish Cup final in the 2009/10 season. The Staggies were beaten by Dundee United (0-3) in the title game at Hampden Park, Glasgow.
