Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Stade Bollaert-Delelis will host Friday’s football game between Lens and Angers, the two top-table sides. Les Sang et Or have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating both Metz and Troyes at home, while losing to Brest, Lyon, and Montpellier on the road. Lens obviously produce much better showings on home soil than on the travels, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win Friday’s clash.
Arnaud Kalimuendo is banned for the match, while both Wesley Said and Deiver Machado miss out with injuries. Les Scoistes, on the other hand, did well to beat Lorient thanks to Thomas Mangani’s goal. Angers, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and that is the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on Lens. The likes of Bilal Brahimi, Abdoulaye Bamba, and Zinedine Ould Khaled remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Seko Fofana):
Born in Paris on May 7, 1995, Seko Fofana is a midfielder who plays for Serie A side Udinese. Fofana started his career at the youth teams of Paris FC and in 2010 he moved to Lorient. After spending four years at the club, the French footballer joined Premier League side Manchester City in the 2013/2014 season.
Despite being a Man City player from 2014 to 2016, Seko Fofana did not see any game action in the English top flight with the Citizens as he was immediately sent on loan to Fulham (2014/2015). He played for Bastia on loan in the 2015/2016 season as well and in the summer of 2016 he signed a five-year deal with Italian side Udinese.
You should know that Fofana scored five goals in 22 appearances for the Zebrette in the 2016/2017 Serie A campaign. His contract with the Serie A team should expire on June 30, 2022. Due to his dual citizenship the Udinese footballer is eligible to play for France and Ivory Coast at senior level.
Highlighted Team (Angers):
French Football Federation was founded in 1919, with French football club Angers being founded the same year. Les Scoistes returned to the French top flight at the end of the 2014/2015 season and they finished the 2015/2016 Ligue 1 campaign in ninth place in the standings.
Angers were having their ups and downs in the 2016/2017 season and, as a result, they finished 12th. Les Scoistes are well known for their black jerseys with white stripes, whilst the color of their away kits is white. Stade Raymond Kopa is the team’s home ground and the capacity of the stadium is 17.835.
The venues was opened back in 1912 and the stadium’s record attendance is 22.989 (April 26, 1969 vs. Olympique Marseille). Speaking of the club’s most notable players, we have to mention Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Vladica Kovacevic, Claudiu Keseru, Paul Alo’o, Amar Rouai and Cedric Daury. It has to be noted that the 2017/2018 season will be their 24th in the French top flight.
