Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Holker Street will host Saturday’s football game between Barrow and Stevenage. Barrow aim to make amends for a 3-1 loss to Hartlepool, but given their poor run of results at home ground, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side. You should bear in mind that the Bluebirds failed to win three of their last four home fixtures. January signing John Rooney, who found the net in the last league match, will be the man to keep an eye on in the home team.
The Boro, on the other hand, failed to win the previous three league fixtures. Stevenage aim to return to winning ways as well, and, taking everything into account, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Midfielder Edward Upson, who suffered an injury in a midweek loss to Bradford City, is unlikely to feature against Barrow.
Highlighted Player (Luke James):
After starting his senior career at Hartlepool United, Luke James moved to Peterborough United in 2014. The English attacker played for the likes of Bradford City and Bristol Rovers on loan as well before joining Forest Green in the 2017/18 season.
After making 14 appearances in the league for the Green Army, Luke James returned to Hartlepool. In the summer of 2020 he joined his current club Barrow. James made his Barrow debut in the League two on September 12, 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Stevenage, and he scored his first goal for the club the following month in a 2-2 draw with Walsall.
His main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a winger as well. Born in Amble, England on November 4, 1994, Luke James has a contract with Barrow until July 20, 2020. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
