Sunday’s football game at Reale Arena pits together Real Sociedad and Granada, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. La Real are eyeing a place in the Champions League, while Granada’s main goal is to secure yet another Primera Division survival. The Basques are undefeated in the previous four league fixtures, but they need to start winning on a regular basis if they are to represent Spain in the elite competition next term.
Granada, on the other hand, are on a three-match losing run in the Spanish top flight, and seeing that La Real are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that the visitors are going to return to Andalusia empty-handed. For a player born in Eibar, who made his first steps in his hometown club, it was always going to be a choice between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad for Oyarzabal.
La Real saw their chance and grabbed this gem of a player at a young age, helping him develop into a proper professional throughout their youth ranks. Mikel Oyarzabal has spent the entirety of his senior career with the Basque behemoths where he’d use his ability to fill in a number of positions up top much to his own benefit.
