Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Following a 2-2 draw with Sassuolo, Roma will look to get back on course when they welcome Verona to their Stadio Olimpico on Saturday. The Giallorossi aim to stay in the Champions League race, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Mastini. Mancini misses out through suspension, while both Ibanez and Spinazzola are sidelined with injuries. Experienced forward El Shaarawy is a major doubt. You should bear in mind that Jose Mourinho’s troops are eyeing their eighth home win of the process.
Verona, on the other hand, continue with their habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, and given their anything but good away record in the 2021/2022 season (3-4-5), we are tempted to put our money on the capital club. All Miguel Veloso, Pandur, and Dawidowicz are sidelined with injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Rui Patricio):

Sporting Lisbon and Portugal national team goalkeeper Rui Patricio is a one-club man. He was reportedly close to signing with Serie A giants Inter Milan during the 2008 of-season, but he remained in his club where he will most likely hang up his boots when the time comes. The 28-year-old shot stopper spent most of his career with the Lions making his debut with the first-team at only 18 years of age.
Rui Patricio went on to appear in more than 350 official games for the Portugal greats and remains the first-choice keeper for his club and country. Having gone through all the youth selections with the national team, Rui Patricio was given his first senior cap in 2010 after Paulo Bento’s appointment.
Rui Patricio represented his national team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and three European Championships. The 28-year-old was the mainstay in Portugal’s historic Euro 2016 title in France.
Highlighted Team (Verona):

Founded back in 1903, Hellas Verona are a professional football club that compete in the Italian Serie A. The “Mastini” are well known for their yellow and blue jerseys and they welcome their opponents at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. Hellas Verona share rivalry with Chievo Verona and the two local rivals face each other in the “Derby della Scala”.
The first derby of Verona was played on November 18, 2001, with Hellas Verona emerging triumphant (3-2). In 1985 the Mastini won their first and only Scudetto, with the team finishing the season in top position in the Serie A standings, four points clear of second-placed Torino. The likes of Preben Elkjaer, Giuseppe Calderisi, Hans-Peter Briegel, Pietro Fanna and Antonio Di Gennaro led Hellas Verona to the historical success.
However, the most famous footballer who played for Verona is Romania international Adrian Mutu, who scored 16 goals in 57 appearances in the league for the Stadio Marc’ Antonio Bentegodi outfit. Verona will compete in the Italian top flight in the 2017/2018 season as they finished the 2016/2017 Serie B campaign in second position in the table.
