Strasbourg
Stade Geoffroy-Guichard will host Sunday’s Ligue 1 game between St Etienne and Strasbourg. Les Verts desperately needed a win against Clermont, and they managed to get one. St Etienne have been showing signs of improvement of late, and given their three-game winning run, we believe that home triumph should be considered. All Miguel Trauco, Harold Moukoudi, and Yvan Neyou should return to contention after the trio was rested following their appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Le Racing, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Nantes and Angers, but beating the in-form hosts at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Defender Maxime Le Marchand should be the only absentee in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Ryad Boudebouz):
Despite being born in Colmar, France on February 19, 1990 Ryad Boudebouz represents Algeria on the international stage. The Montpellier midfielder played for both France U17 and France U19 teams in the past, but he made his senior debut with Algeria on May 28, 2010 in a friendly against Republic of Ireland.
Speaking of his club career, Boudebouz played for Colmar and Sochaux at youth level and he continued playing for Sochaux first team. After scoring 24 goals in 164 appearances in the league for the club, he moved to Bastia in 2013 and he played 66 games for les Bleus.
Ryad Boudebouz played for the Corsican side from 2013 to 2015 and he signed a four-year deal with Montpellier and you should know that he netted 11 goals in 33 appearances for la Paillade in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His main position is attacking midfield, but he is capable of playing at both left and right winger as well.

Founded back in 1906, Strasbourg is a professional football team that compete in French Ligue 1. Le Racing did remarkably well to win the 1979 Ligue 1 trophy and that is considered the biggest success in the history of the club. Strasbourg won Coupe de France on three occasions (1951, 1966, 2001) and they have three Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well (1964, 1997, 2005). Strasbourg’s main rivals are Metz and the two teams face each other in the Derby de l’Est (The Eastern derby).
